Slow Viper sales leads to a $15,000 price cut.
Still well over the "$40,000 track car" threshold, but maybe hold out and cut a deal at the local Dodge dealer?

I'm not sure what year it is, but there's been a Viper in white group the last couple of times I've been to the track. It sure gets around fast!

That's actually really disappointing. This new Viper is 100x better car than the previous versions, since the 2nd gen. Well, to be fair it's the best Viper ever in every way since every other Viper was complete crap, but I would have expected this one to be really flying off the shelves.

I thought the "restyle" was a little too mild and makes the Viper look old compared to the Corvette. Maybe the next Viper will have some DNA from another FIAT affiliate.
I sat in the Viper at the DC Auto Show and was surprised how poor the visibility was from the driver's seat. There's very little reason to look up in a race car, but in a street car, it's the only way to see traffic lights. |
Fail.

It really is a shame.... I've driven a bunch of them now, and every time I'm amazed how well it just does everything.....
