T9 ote

Video of first two laps of this past weekend's Saturday race with NASA (Spec3). Had clutch issues at the standing start, then was able to gain a couple positions, until T9 on 2d lap. Washing machine was very busy last night.

You can see cars spinning on the lap before your's in T9 as well. Almost did it the lap before, but tempted turn in early fate on second lap….glad you were able to get back into the race unharmed and you left quite a dust cloud for the competition.

Great vid, Rob. Glad it was just a set of boxers that were damaged. That was some pretty ballsy driving, though. I loved the move on the black car from T1 through T3 right before the OTE.

what tires you guys running....they seemed ...Sticky haha.

center net???? is it there for looks?

i found my right foot picking up off the ground at the turn in to 9...yours seemed to stay on the floor with no more steering input or attempt at correction....were you planning on driving it off on the outside of 9??? if so its waaaaay too bumpy out there not sure how i know that.

You BMW guys are just nuts. and then you do the standing start. Glad you are okay.

Taking T9 that early only works for rally cars. Did you get on the brakes before spinning? The RF was on the pavement, while the others were not, and you still had a little turn in your steering.

Every time I get the balls to pick up speed in T9, somebody reminds me that being a back marker is not so bad. :bang:

Nice that in racing you don't need to come in to the hot pit and get chewed out by the Chief Steward before you can go back out on the track :-)

Evan - spec tires are Toyo RRs. They're a bit better than the previous RA1s.

Center net hides all the cheater buttons I have on the steering column.

I typically ease on throttle going into T9. I was too busy driving my mirrors. My intent was to drive it in the grass (parallel to the pavement) once I realized I wasn't going to make the turn, but apparently didn't ease off throttle and correct the steering input enough.

Believe me, that crossed my mind once I got back on track.

Nadir - I was a back marker all last season. I'm just trying to give myself an opportunity to stay "in the mix" for a change. I'm slowly learning this whole racing thing. :p

Trust me - Sunday's race was different: I would park the car in T8, get out, take a deep breath, then get back in the car and enter very slowly.
