How to drive a mini cooper
 

Watched that video earlier today, damn, that looks like a swarm of gnats. Stealing apexes, those Lotus Cortinas and V8 iron must have been cursing them!!

Wow, never ran with Mustangs in my MCS, looks rather intimidating. I am also amazed they were able to pretty much keep up on the straights. But, they are a blast to drive - completely different than new Mini's.

secret is not to lift off the throttle ever, if you dare :D

The slip angles are ridiculous. Lots of fun to watch. I wouldnt want to be in one that had a serious impact.

Really? Low mass, full cage. The corners get round after the first couple tumbles. Then it's smooth rolling.

Looks like crazy fun. Throttle pedal to the floor and hit apexes at 10 degree angle of attack.

I just rode in a 1977 Mini made in 1999. Not much get up and go, but you don't slow down for the entry so the cornering forces were stunning. Every bump feels like a mountain and 50 mph feels like 120. I'll admit I was skeered that any bump might throw us into the weeds.

I wonder what gearbox is in that little rocket. It shifts so smooth and always at the right rpm whether up or down. Almost sound sequential. I love driving lightweight momentum cars. They require a whole different skillset to go fast and are more fun than massive HP IMHO.
