She's back.
Well, after V-day duty with the lady at the Kennedy Ctr., I was able to finally pick up my 911 from Dulles at about 11:30 tonight. I don't even remember the show we saw. All I could think about was having my baby back. Well, she fired right to life and I drove her home. Wow - that's one stiff ride now. Unfortunately, my oil temp gauge is not working, so I didn't go crazy with the revs. But after the 25 mile drive home, I figured she had to be hot enough. So I went to the gas station, topped off the oil and went for a late night fun run with this woman who had not yet ridden in my Porsche. At about 6000 rpms in 2nd gear on Franconia Rd. she said she could see how a guy gets so attached to this car. Good to have an understanding woman. I still need to figure out why the temp gauge isn't registering. I fiddled with the sensor at the gas station but no luck. I'll just make sure I take it easy for the first 20 min. in cold weather until I figure this out. Great to have her back!

Richard - congrats on her return. I bet you have no memory of the show you saw, heck, I'm surprised you even made it through the entire thing. I'd have been tempted to sneak out during intermission to go get her!

Richard:
Congrats on the return of x-demon 911, and to finding a woman who wasn't screaming SLOW DOWN at the top of her lungs when you hit 4000 rpms. Can't wait to see everything set up right, and feel the power of a real 3.2. :D See you in a few weeks when the snow is all gone !! Marc |
