Anything Weird
 

If anyone notices anything strange please let me or charlie know so we can fix it.

If you didn't know the board blew up yesterday morning. I was able to fix it by the afternoon, but it involved a lot of mixing stuff around. So if you are missing your avatar or something else funny please let us know so we can remedy the situation.

The Site was down for an hour or two today.

Here is what is going on:

The sessions table in the mySql database [more info please] filled up.

Here is the post from phpbb.com that I used to fix it. This thread also includes a explaination of what the session table does and the concerns there in.

We chose modification #1 so that there is no manual work being done.

Gallery
 

The gallery is back up. Charlie may have to do some setting up of this to make it workable for all.

I currently may have lost the photos in the gallery... I will look for a backup tonight to see if I can replace them...

The board seems to be functioning well...

Anyone noticed a slow down - last 5-6 days?
 

Has anyopne else noticed a general slowdown on the site in the last 4-5 days. I've noticed it especially when posting. There seems to be a really long delay when you press submit. Preview for some strange reason seems just as jippy as always.

After pressing the submit button, I sometimes wonder if it's hung up after 10-15 seconds, and then try to resend. Only later to find that I've posted the same message two or three times?

Never noticed it before last week? Is it just me or my connection?

Yes, I have. Very slow sometimes. And it caused me to double-post today too.

I'm having the same issues relative to getting into forums and replying to threads. Often times I get the message "web site not responding."

Geoff and I have noticed the same slowness the past few days as well. We were talking about this last night and think it's a problem on the hosting facilitys side as when the board is slow, all other items (non-porsche board related) on Dorkiphus.com is slow or non-responsive as well. Geoff will call the provider this week and see if they are aware of any problems. We'll keep you posted.

The hosting service doesn't have a problem anymore... So things should return to normal. However if the problem persists please let me know so I can call them again for a resolution...
