it's not a bowl, it's an Aquarium!

Anyone else into fish tanks
My other hobby is saltwater fish tanks and corals.......kinda an addiction as well....while it can be done affordably it can also get outta hand

the front pane of acrylic on this was probably over 10k alone not to mention the rest of the tank construction, install, etc etc etc......

maybe ill start a new thread and see if there are any other Reefgeeks out there.

Some surfaced in Tdak's thread about transporting fish a while back. VG has a lot of experience with these setups.

x2. I have a small 45g saltwater tank with coral. It's been going strong with no big issues for about 2 years. I'm planning on upgrading to a new tank soon and upsizing some.

I've been in and out of the hobby for 15 years. My favorite was the 125g that I built out to full reef. It was all going so well up until I accepted a friend's urchin when he shut his tank down. The damned thing scarred up the acrylic so bad you couldn't see through it after a month. Downgraded to a 75 which cracked due to house settling and am now at a 28 which is about to be shut down with the impending move.

I love the concept of the full reef, but it requires more time then I have right now so we'll be content with the 20 gallon freshwater that the kids have. Three bucks a fish makes my wallet happy and the kids really happy. :)

Currently i have a 90g display, 30g frag tank, and a 30 gal sump.

i am a huge SPS addict and have been in the hobby for about 12 years now and keeping fish tanks since i was a kid.

Have a new tank build in progress as we speak, will be a 156 (5ft x 2ftx2ft) and will probably end up with around 200-240g total system.

here are a couple of pics of my corals....

That is beautiful but I can't stop myself from asking what happens when you light a fire in the fireplace? Fish sticks for dinner? :p

They do say that boiled or steamed is better for you than fried. :D

But rather than digress.....Evan, those are some gorgeous corals!
