VIR Club Race 2011
Here is Sprint 2, little dirt tracking and then lots of passing and more dirt tracking....came in 2nd in class.
I am terrible at starts in case you couldnt notice...omar on the other hand seems to be the master. http://youtu.be/Y-nO-19oF-0 |
Awesome drive...nice to have the 3.2 freshed up for that one. No less than three really unsportsmanlike moves by guys you were passing, hate to see that, but I guess it did help you drive angry.

Congrats for your first win!!!
Enjoyed watching, thanks for posting. |
Looks like if you could have been a little stealthier, you might have been first (you were gaining quickly until he saw you in his mirror...). Time for a James Bond (Q) style paint job!
Very nice driving, Evan. I'll never start a race on the outside at VIR again, but when I went off, I came around and watched about 3X as many cars go by. You recovered beautifully, and then drove really well. |
I knew it was your plan all along to go off on the first lap then work your way back through the field to steal the workers choice award. :)

Haha that was the plan all along, thats why i got off track at almost every turn 1...summit my first club race (twice though one was just off for a few seconds), and here. im really good at going off it seems.
that white RSA was in G or H, Buckley was up in first a ways ahead of me in E class, i think he was running a 2:13...i know i have more time out there but i was happy with a 2:15 and feel like i drove the crap outta my car finallly. I wish i had a tach, i was shifting on sound as my racepak took a dump on me. not sure whats up but i had no gauges or data collection. Despite all Charlie's and Mark Francis's efforts (thanks again to Intersport and OG Racing) we couldnt get it working...thankfully it has a rev limiter. |
Congrats,
Man you can drive ;) Quote:
