Experience - HANS vs Defender

I know most (many) use HANS, but wonder if anyone has done any research on HANS vs Defender? BTW, would Defender work with HANS helmet posts and quick release?

Nader:
You will have to switch out the HANS anchors for Dfender anchors. We have also found via customer feedback that people with short necks have issues with their helmets rubbing against the Dfender when they have both on. Not sure if you fall into that category or not, but it's something to consider. I would try both on before you purchase. They both do the job so pick the one that is more comfortable.

I had a Hans Sport and I found it uncomfortable on my shoulder/collar bone. I bought a Dfender and really like it. Very comfortable, just takes a extra min or so to get it sorted when your buckling in.

Thanks Mark. The comment about short neck has me wondering about the fit. I also prefer a device with sliding tether and quick release.

If you try it to see if your helmet hits it, do that trial while fully belted into your seat. Even with my long neck, my helmet hit in the store, but I've got lots of clearance in a car.
