Sterling, VA D-I-Y Garage?

Not sure who's seen it, or uses it, or maybe who already posted it..but I got a coupon in the mail for this place: http://www.ditymechanics.com/

No affiliation yadda yadda...

Interesting.. I was wondering when one of these would pop-up. Years ago there was one on Rt one right near Powdermill Rd in Beltsville, Auto-You fix-It. Gone now, but I thought it was a great concept then and it obviously is now...

I do wonder what the insurance liability is like!

there was some buzz about this at tech. Been using the Auto Hobbie Shop at Ft (whatever) for years. Though the "membership quals" are more than many want to pay :)

this would be pretty cool if it was in the DC area instead of being out in WVA...

I'm headed out there Wednesday morning with my friend to work on his Z06. If it lives up to expectations, I'll do a piece for der Vorganger but from his descriptions and the website, sounds like a nice place.

Wow it looks awesome, and the prices are not 'too' bad for access to a lift. I can get my MotorMounts done there :)

I used to use one of these in Boston my senior year in college (1975). Not as nice looking as this one.

Cool.

Only 35 minutes away.

Might have to take the Suburban there for some work ... I don't really trust the 4 ton stands I put it on ... thing is "omimous" over your head ... I keep thinking of a sledge hammer squashing a bug when under it. LOL

Not bad at all if you have tools and are organized. Make sure you have spare critical hardware on hand just in case.

My thought too. What happens if you don't and you need to leave the vehicle over night? Nice just having this in the back yard :D
