Rear calipers, pistons look sealed by rust...
Hello, yes today i started to rebuild the calipers, and surprise! the first rear one as one piston stock inside, and the oder caliper, both are stocked.
For the front on no problem at all. I have tried the brake pedal, and the air compressor and they won't move. I've soaked them tonight with penetrating oil. Any tips or trick? Thank you. |
Get a set from your FLAPS ~$65 - $75 each exchange...

After 24h with the penetrating oil.... they came off:D
i'm waiting for the hard brake line that got damaged in the past. and hopefully back on the road this weekend. |
PB Blaster is one of the best pene oils for this sort of issue. I also will use a C clamp sometimes to compress the piston inward all the way (and to hold the other piston in place) then hit it with the air. Alot of times working it back and forth helps.
Glad to hear you had success anyways! |
I've got a front driver's side hard brake line if that's the one you need.
