18" for a 99 996. do not need to be in perfect shape cosmetically as long as they are straight and true.

Matt, they are almost always for sale on Rennlist and 6speed. Depending on condition from $500 to $1000.

How about a pair of cheap seats instead? :)

How about a set of 993 hollow spokes $450 ....... 8s/50 offset & 10s/40
offset? Chrome ... finish is tired but straight and true

The rears will rub a narrow body 996. Your choices are:

F 8.5 J x 18 et 40
R 11.0 J x 18 et 63

F 8 J x 18 ET 52
R 10 J x 18 ET 65

F 7.5 J x 18 et 50
R 10.0 J x 18 et 65

I have a set off a '99 that are in very good condition and come with painted center caps. Rears have decent rubber still mounted and the fronts have no tires. $750

Some for sale on Craigslist, I think.. Looks like what you want.

Offsets of my stock twists are 50mm front, 45mm rear.

Cliff, I got a OEM set with OEM caps that is basically brand new that came on my 99 996. I took it off when I got the car and replace them with Kinesis. They have no scratches/curb rashs and are straight/true. Let me know if you are still looking.
