Watkins Glen Reminder

Our registration for the Glen is running somewhat low and even if we had another 100 drivers sign up we would still have plenty of open track. If you are thinking about coming, please make up your mind and come to the event. The finger lakes region of NY is beautiful this time of year. We could actually use drivers in all run groups.

I'll be there...and it is only track I go to that my wife will even consider going with me (though she won't stay at the Scenca Lodge).

I'm in and trying to figure out how to keep wife entertained over this three day period. Still looking for ideas.

Drive around the east side of the lake, and stop at a handful of wineries. Head all the way to the north end, and there is a quaint little town to walk around.

For something to do while track is 'hot', she should walk along the falls.

IF she does like cars, the International Motor Racing Research Center actually has a lot of nice books, art work, etc. to peruse.

And a short drive away is the Corning Glass Factory/Museum. Haven't been myself, but heard nice things about it.

Also consider checking out some of the websites for B&B's in Watkins Glen. They often provide info about local attractions, activities, festivals, etc.

Get your brother-in-law to come and drive with his old car... :D

x2, exactly. Are you staying at a B&B or the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel (we're doing the latter - and they call me cheap!)

Lot of things as noted above, also the Cornell Gardens. My wife planned to spend just a few minutes at the track but ended up enjoying it because so many other families were there.
