Race Car Rental for VIR
 

Just in case - does anybody know about renting a race car (preferably a 944 or E36 or similar) at/near VIR? If the project car isn't done by late February, it might be more reasonable to rent a car than to try to add the necessary bits to the Targa.

These guys will rent you an E36 for the weekend. I believe it was 2500.00 for the entire weekend including full track support, meals, alcohol, and Saturday night party. Ask for Greg he is the owner. He even puts your name on the car for the weekend.

I'm pretty sure he's hoping to find someone who will rent a car for free :lol:

Werkstatt also has Spec Boxsters for rent.

Thanks, guys. The MidatlanticMotorwerkes site shows a car towards the bottom that I watched race at Summit about 5-6 years ago (I was in it's pit at the time, but not on their crew--thank God, as that car had issues that day). I also noticed on the NASA site that they've added (since I last looked) a comp school in March. Anybody know when the first PCAP event at Summit will be?

I've seen these guys at 944 Cup events.

in '09, first event was in early April. Change from March was due to Zone 2 VIR event. I believe first event will be in April for the next few years.

Haha -- nah, Peter did it just as a friend :shock:

That's more than Dr. K's entire car rebuild and race season budget!
