I removed the mirror from the housing but how do you remove the motor and wires from the housing? Is it pressed in or something? My factory manual only has directions for the mirror.

There are 3 small bolts that hold the motor to the housing. I think they are 7 or 8mm. Look past the holes in the shiny metal plate that was behind the mirror.
