SSI Backdate
 

Has anyone backdated to SSIs without having an external thermostat. Could you feasibly connect the curved all metal like to your old hose direct from the oil tank? Anyone have an external thermostat sitting around?

Most early cars with the old style exhausts did not have T-Stats. PET should give you the part number.
