Info on 99 to 01 911 pricing

Hi guys,

whats the average price for a 99 to 01 996? I've been looking at cars.com and autotrader looks like the prices range from the high 20's to the mid 30's. just want to get an idea on how to bargain.

thanks!

Yep, that's it.

Mk I Aero cars in nice shape will be the higher end of that range but you can get a nice example for high 20's all day long. Do consider the 02-04 version as it has 20 more horses, 20% stiffer, and 20% cooler headlights for roughly 20% more.

My 2 cents...

An early Mk1 car with Factory Aero kit is desirable and if it is a 1999 model year may have the optional LSD (only year available other than the anniversary edition). If you care about the LSD then you likely also desire a car with a factory M030 sport suspension as a starting point.

The car above with a recently swapped engine would be highly desirable..

Otherwise I would put my money towards an 02+ model with a 3.6 just like BillJ said.

A plain jane MkI car with normal mileage and good condiiton all around should be near the $25-27K mark.

Cheaper cars are available with higher miles, almost no options and questionable service history and less then desirable condition.
