Make me a reasonable offer and it is yours....I think hypothetical market values in many publications are great guides but not always exactly reflective of the real-world market....I'm willing to negotiate but I think a five figure starting point is more than fair considering some of the crap that routinely goes for $8-9k. Come see my car and let's try to make a deal (you can be the one to take advantage of the new guy). depending on your location I might even deliver it to your door.
Thanks for your interest.

That's a fair asking price based on my recent shopping/buying experience (virtually identical car but not an "S"). Hmmm. If I trade it, my wife would never know....

Good luck with that. The 944s are underappreciated (especially here) but they sure aren't collectors items. Nice cars, but for >$10K garage queen "S" I doubt you'll see it. A little more will put you into a decent 911SC and if you wanna stick with the 44 platform the S2 models (including Ted's) can be had for near that price.

Guys, please don't debate price on someone else's for sale thread. There's always someone out there who is willing to pay more then others if they deem it worthwhile.

Mike, welcome to the Board!!!

Good luck on the sale!!!

... you may wish to share some of the options (like sports seats, leather, limited slip etc - whatever the car may have) to entice potential buyers. Mentioning when the last major service was done would be helpful too. This is a pretty savy board (DIY and market price wise) but a good car will always command a good price. Good luck on your sale!

all:
thanks for the "welcome aboard", the well-wishes, and even the opinions about pricing! hopefully there's one of you out there who can give the car the home it deserves.

Post some photos....

At the bottom of the response window, click manage attachments.

WRT maintenance, when was the last time time these things were done:
ball joints, belts and waterpump? How about rod bearings? original clutch? shocks (yellow konis?) I think the "S" models need some special ramp in the head...but I can't recall if that's a maintenance item.
