Transmission cleaning
My transmission is nasty on the outside and nasty on the inside of the bell housing. What can I use to clean the outside? What can I use to clean the inside? Do I have to use brake clean or a carb cleaner on the inside?
The "while you are in theres" have already started  |
I would use kerosene. Not as toxic as brake kleen and cheaper too.

Greased lightning and a garden hose, and you have yet to scratch the surface of WYIT

High pressure sprayer. Don't aim directly at the seals. Be sure to wear black clothes ;-)

A toothbrush and some aluminum polish. Follow up with a dremel and polishing "bit". Two coats of wax after that. You'll never win the concours with a transmission that doesn't shine.

Full strength Simple Green and a brush has always worked well for me. Wash off with water from the hose in the driveway. :D

Yeah I'm in WV, but I'm not from WV. I have all my teeth for one. I didn't marry my sister for two.
