No more pencils, no more book...
...no more students' dirty looks! :)
Whelp, after signing out today I can officially say that I survived my first year of teaching. And I can also say with great certainty that I feel I made the right career and school choices. Now, on to the summer vacation! BB. |
Whaaat? You don't have to be at work again.......:D
Congrats on completing your first year! Teachers are un-sung hereos in this country. http://deephousepage.com/smilies/biggthumpup.gif |
Oh, I have to be at work again. Just not until late August. :D
And thanks! BB. |
Congrats, BB. Enjoy your summer...
...bastard! :oP |
I had that same thought earlier this summer. I completed the requirements on my master's degree, finally.
My cousin who is a teacher in MD is going to Alaska for 3 weeks. Must be nice. |
So, BB...what exactly are you doing for the summer?
Peter |
Well, first and foremost I'm making sure my fiancee is moved in. We've got until the end of the month.
After that, I have my summer class for my Master's degree and some house painting. I intend to do some autocrossing and will hopefully make it to the track (although that may end up happening in the fall). I'm going to visit my Oma in Kennebunk, ME this August. ...and the RC helicopter. Not only flying, but I'm going to give my gunship fuselage a more accurate painting. :) That'll keep me busy. :) BB. |
Since you're not married yet, you will be spending some of that free time "having fun" with your fiancee. Once you're married (okay, a little while after), that will change so take advantage of it now.
I'll be in Maine in August - maybe we can have lunch! I have friends who are physicians in Kennebunk, so will probably visit. Peter |
When will you be up there? I think we're looking at the second full week of August.
