WTB - Porsche 944, 944S or 944S2
*****Just bought a 1987 944S... Thanks for everyone's help!*******
Looking for a street legal, DE car. Will consider any year and any variation of the 944 except turbo's (951). Can contact me directly at aubrey@frogs-breath.com. Thanks! |
Aubrey, for God's sake if TD offers to sell you his , DON'T take it. If you do you will knock so much time off his lap times that we will have to go through 500 posts and 200 pages of why he was slower than you. ;)
Good luck Dirk |
Very funny MOFO
I know why I am slow . . . I don't need anyone's analysis to figure that out . . . Here is what I would buy now if I weren't so far underwater in my current car that I will be buried in it: http://44cup.zeroforum.com/zerothread?id=1950 If you buy it, Aubrey, I expect you to either teach me to be fast or at least don't pass me for the first few races ;) EDIT: Aubrey, I forgot that you needed it to be street legal. Sorry, Eric's undoubtedly is not, but it will make a great car for someone else if you can't use it. |
Hey Aubrey,
Steve Miller is selling his well-prepped S2. I think it was street legal but won't swear to it. He did prang it at the Glen last year and is having it repaired before selling. He's really meticulous about his cars. PM me if you want his e-mail address. |
TD, don't let Chopper Dropper get you down. The only reason he can keep cars behind him is that they can't maintain traction running through all the sheep droppings he leaves behind! That and you really don't want to get to close because of the bag pipe music.
I looked at Dan's car and, if it were street legal, would have gone after it. I'm hung up on the 944S at the moment and but I'm also starting to consider a 951. |
Doelan Anderson has/had an 89 S2 for sale in Richmond. The asking price was around $6,900. I almost bought it, think it is still for sale. The car is street legal. Has roll bar, harness, Koni's, and most recent maintenance. It does have some paint issues on the hood. His email is doelan@comcast.net

Is that why you and Shivers kept trying to catch up to me because you smelt sheep!! Bunch of perverts! Unfortunately the pipes have been silenced for a couple of years, but they shall return this year, maybe not for March though!!
TD, knowing something has NEVER stopped you spending 500 posts and 200 pages plus the 8 by 10 glossies in perfect harmony to analyze whatever the occurence of that moment is!! Dirk |
Friend of mine is selling his in Old Town, Alexandria. Call Marshall Contino directly to discuss. 202.422.8387

Somewhat local, anybody know the car? |
Not the best idea to publish someone's phone number on an open web site but the car is at my house. It's an early '44 (84?), California car, fresh red paint, roll bar, race seat, harnesses, coil over fronts, and ~28mm T-bars rear. Has a low mileage motor bout ready to go back in. Lots of odds and end spare parts. 16" Cup (?) w/street tyres, 15" cookies with RA1s. I think he's asking $5K. He has used it as a DD. He's out of town this week but reachable by phone or through me.
I drove the car at VIR and SP and it's a competent dual purpose ride. |
