1986 911 Cab w/67k Miles - Pristine - $19500 firm

Happy New Year to all! The time has come and garage space is at a premium. Great time of year to get a convertible at a reasonable price. This car is super clean and runs/drives perfectly. You will not be disappointed.

As much as it hurts me I have lowered the price to my rock-bottom line of $19,500. If you think that is too high then don't call, if you can buy a nicer car with lower miles elsewhere...buy it! If you are serious and not a "wanna be test pilot" contact me. Not trying to be an a**, just trying to do without the "Will you take $15,000 for it?" calls...I've had enough of those.

The link below contains the original thread located here. Only changes are a couple hundred more miles (the weather has been great!) and a lowered price. Contact me here, at sweet97m3@yahoo.com, or on my cell at 703-999-2107.

Latest Words from Excellence

In addition to some great perspective on their 20 years of publishing, there is much in this issue to extoll the virtues of a 20 year old Carrera - to include "winning" a face-off between a Boxster and a 968 "Super Porsches for 20 Grand". Okay...so it was an '89..I hope you get my point. Page 85...nice story.

Tech Forum on page 201-206. Discusses 20 yer old Porsches. Page 202 specifically..."Buying a 20-year old Porsche".

Additionally..from the Reader's Sales Report section on page 146:

"Our latest estimates indicate the 1986 911 Carrera Cabriolet is worth a low of about $17,501 and $19,898 for a car in good condition. An excellent example should bring $26,638..."

This car is a whole lot more excellent than good.

VA Emissions Inspection Report

To anyone interested in whether emissions speak to the condition of an engine I offer these number taken when I registered the car in 2005. The actual date of the test was 5/27/2005.

At 15 mph:

HC ppm Limit: 135
Tested: 5

CO% Limit: .76
Tested: .00

NO ppm Limit: 1052
Tested: 178

At 25mph:

HC ppm Limit: 130
Tested: 6

CO% Limit: .80
Tested: .00

NO ppm Limit: 957
Tested: 210

As we who live in this area know, passing the strict emissions testing can be a big hurdle for older or modified cars. This was great news to me at the time.

Mileage at the time was 64,828 Recall the inspector remarking that he sees 4 year old cars that don't have numbers this clean. Car is due again this May, I would not expect the #s to be much different.

Car is sold pending PPI.

Congratulations!

Thank you Dorkiphus!

Car is soon to be on it's way to Canada. The PPI results were so good (1-2% leakdown each cylinder) I think the guys at IMA thought I was nuts for selling her. Perhaps they are right...

Anyway...a 930 awaits somewhere down the line....

Thanks again Steve. I can't say enough about how great you were to work with on this. My father and his wife were nervous about a long distance deal, but you made the whole thing very painless... pleasant even!
