Yes, another one 2008 535i

Our eldest son Patrick, has been using the 2013 S60 to get to and from work for the past few months so we started looking for another DD / beater. Found a 2008 535i, 6 speed manual with RWD, Sport, Cold Weather and Premium packages on BaT. Picked it up in upstate NY last month.

It all depends on your perspective, didn’t wish to pile a bunch of miles on the 911’s. In before times the commute was two miles each way. As things open up it looks like it will be around 1500/month. On the plus side the company is ultimately footing the cost for the miles ;)

That's a very nice car. Crossed fingers on the HPFP. I think they were sorted out by 08.

Thank you, according to the records the HPFP on this particular car was replaced under warranty in 2011 and again in 2014. My very limited understanding is that the HPFP has a ten year warranty on the replacement. This is also one of the reasons I’m looking at aftermarket warranties. The level of maintenance on this particular car was one of the reasons that I acquired it. The car is up to date on everything I could find: rotors, fluids, pads, coils, plugs, walnut blasting and new Michelin Pilot Super Sports, complete detail inside and out. I’m sure I left off a few items.

Nice beater, good find on a well maintained one. How was the BaT process/experience?

Thanks, it is a nice car. Maryland State Safety Inspection is only one time, when you purchase the vehicle. As a result it is very strict, the car sailed right through without any questions.

BaT was very easy but I typically don’t pay much attention to the venue where the car is listed.

Things like condition, maintenance, options and the sellers reputation are far more important to me when shopping for a car.

Looks like one I had back in the day. Here's my FS listing from 2013.

Mine was an auto and had a bunch of fancy options like HUD and active roll bars, etc. I enjoyed commuting in it. I bought it used as a CPO with full warranty up to 100K miles -- and damn glad I did because it spent many days at the dealer getting fixed. I got nice new loaners with every service visit so I didn't complain too much.

Good luck and enjoy it. Those 3.0L turbo engines are fantastic when running right!
