PCA Potomac CMP DE Cancelled
|
Rats...
I am working with the shop where the tech was going happen to see if we can have a open lift day rather than a tech inspection. |

Kurt - please do push for an open-lift day. I have been trying to get a coworker's brother to particpate in PCA events with his Boxster. But he recently got tired of shelling out big $ for small repairs, and is considering selling the car because he is afraid he'll go broke keeping it on the road. I convinced him to come out to the tech inspection for the Shenandoah event, but that got cancelled. I'm afraid if this CMP tech inspection is cancelled as well, he'll sell the car over the winter and wind up with something lame, like a Volvo or Audi  But on the bright side, the Audi Club does hold open-lift days four or five times per year...

Bob - just curious, but for these "away" DE's does the club hope that Potomac members travel or do they expect that out of region members fill the spots?
Being in the Finance field I've often wondered about these type of events and the economic impact on the club. Thanks for any insight. |
We usually pick up a goodly number of "locals". But for some reason this didn't happen for the CMP event. This event was way undersubscribed. We even opened the event to BMW, Audi & MB clubs, but got very little interest.

Fooey! :(
Porbably too close to a Thanksgiving, a holiday where many people drive to eat turkey. I was looking forward to the event but dreading the drive down and back. |

Kurt, I thought that was crow, not turkey. :)

The tech inspection or open lift day is off.
I will have an open lift day at the Taj in it's place. November 13 9 a.m. till 4 p.m. Pari has first ride on the lift to get a set of rear bearings and that should take about 1.5 hours. We can collect some $ for Fat pills and coffee in the am and pizza at noon. How about a head count? Should I set up a thread? |
