Needed ASAP - Cam Bar, 1988 911
 

I am in the process of rebuilding my engine and I need to borrow a Cam Bar for my 1988 911. I only need it for a few days to remove the heads then I can return it. I will need it again when I reinstall everything, but that will be a month or two down the road. Any help is appreciated. I live in Oak Hill (Herndon) Virginia and will be willing to pick it up.

I think this is the one I have.
My cams have a bolt that hold the sprket on. The bar has 2 tit's that go into the adjustment holes in the sproket to hold it while you remove the bolt.
It's here if you want it. You might find one closer.

Thanks for your offer. The ones I have seen pictures of have 3 tits on them. They are described as a Cam Bar for later year 911. My car is a 1988. If yours is for later model year 911's then it should work. I hope to find one closer to where I live but if I can't I may take you up on your offer.

Does anyone know of a shop in Northern Virginia that loans/rents tools for Porsches?
