uh, did Paul at Radial sell/retire??

my co worker who also is a track junkie/P-car owner just mentioned that Paul is now gone as well (Sam retired last year) and that he sold the biz.

sorry if i'm late to the party/this has already been discussed. any info on this?

I heard that Sam retired, but Paul is still there and selling tires.

I hope he's still there, b/c I need new tires! And the other chaps there aren't all that knowledgeable about track tires...

When I heard that, I called up Radial and was told Paul was gone for the day... it was 5PM then so I presumed the rumor to be correct that: He is gone/sold the business but comes once in a while.

I know he had some health challenges in the past. Bless him.

He apparently had to "postpone" his retirement a little, not sure why.

Here's what I heard in a conversation with Paul a couple weeks ago. Sam retired after 37 years, started at Radial right out of college, and is now in Utah selling ski lift tickets. Sam hated the bad customer side of the retail business, it really twisted his gut up to deal with a nasty customer, as I'm sure they have many of. Paul has a fellow who works at Radial now who is buying into the business (forget his name, might be Dan). Paul talked about having some buyers, but maybe that fell thru.

Radial is not the most convenient place, but is the BEST place - advice, selection, doing it right, support for the club, rotation/swapping tires.
