Tysons Porsche/ hbl?

so the car in manassas park did not pan out and I'm now looking at a car at tysons Porsche but when I called to ask if I can take the car for ppi over at intersport, the salesman basically told me they don't do that...

Anyone knows a good sales rep in their used department? I'm ready to make a deal on the vehicle once I get a clean ppi....

Also, is there any sort of maintenance package sold at the dealership? The car I'm looking at does not have any sort of warranty but by all accounts it might be a good idea to get on some sort of service plan?

Thanks!!

Porsche of Arlington did a PPI and sold me an aftermarket "new car" like warranty. ~$250 for the PPI, ~$2600 for the warranty. The warranty was worth every cent.

thanks harry,

did you haggle on the warranty pricing??

since i'm in the market for a used car, i guess i won't be going over to arlington unless they have what i'm looking for.... in the meanwhile, just looking for a sales rep willing to let me take the car to intersport for a ppi...

to be fair, the salesman did tell me that 'they do an inhouse ppi and if the car is not up to par they don't sell it.' but i know not to take the words of sales at face value....

Most folks myself included would not be comfortable getting a PPI from the place you might be purchasing it from.

How old is the car?

We bought our boxster from a chevy dealer. We had them drive it to a Porsche dealer in their area for a PPI. The chevy dealer didn't whine at all about taking it over.

I bought my car in Charlotte but didn't get the PPI until after I brought it back home. It wasn't until after the fact when I decided I wanted the warranty and to get the warranty it needed a PPI. My car only had about 10k miles and the previous owner kept the car in great shape.

As far as pricing on the warranty went, as I recall, the price was the price. I could make changes to the coverage but there was no haggling on the price of whichever coverage you selected. I got the best coverage possible, it's paid for seat motor, aircon control, alternator, Air oil separator, rear view mirror, and a few other things.

Concur with all of the above. Tell them an independent PPI is a condition for further consideration at that lot. You will need to pay for it, but negotiate with them on the other arrangements. Having them deliver the car for it is a fair arrangement I think.

Not what I did, and concur.

thanks y'all
so... if anyone knows a good used sales rep at tysons's porsche who will let me take the car over to intersport (which is apparently within 10 mins?) for a ppi, please let me know.

It is across the street! You should have Porsche drop it off to limit your liability and probably ease Porsche's mind that they control it. No PPI no deal in my opinion.
