Rear torsion bar question

I am about to replace my rear torsion bars going from stock 24.1MM to 28MM. The angle for the torsion plate inclination is 40 degrees. What is recommended for the upgrade? More? say 44 degrees? Less (don't think so) say 36 degrees?

I suspect a lot of trial and error, but a starting place would be helpful.

John,
I installed hollow 28mm t-bars last year. I used 23-24 degrees measured on the top of the unladen spring plate. Slightly lower than euro ride height.

Tim's right final figure is really based on ride height. If you a real happy with what you gotz, just look at the table. See where you need to go to have same ride height with new bars.

22mm front and 28mm rear is what I had with stock sways. IMO very sweet combo for street and track.

If those other ones don't work try this one http://www.rennlight.com/cgi-bin/spring.cgi

There is a link somewhere around that has a great angle calculator. Handy little bit O code and landed Roundel's rear ride hight close to spot on.

Thanks all. Spot on responses.

PS: to Dr. K

It is OK to leave your dirty laundry in my shed. I found two dead mice and the squirrels won't come within 50 feet. A full week and it will probably drive out the termites!
