VW HQ moving to Herndon

Last month VW announced that it's moving HQ from Detroit to Herndon. I'm starting to see openings for the new location. Does anyone here know:

a) Anyone there for a personal contact/informational interview?
2) Names of folks to whom cover letters should be addressed?

I'm guessing I'm not terribly well qualified to be the R8 product manager but hope springs eternal...

Danke schön.

An update: I've made some contact, will see how it goes. Good timing as I got The Package at work yesterday, along with 750 of my closest friends in Dulles and another 1200 elsewhere. On to better things!

"The first day on my vacation, what I did on my summer vacation, the first day on my vacation, I woke up. Then, I went downtown to look for job. Then I hung out in front of the drugstore. "

Ed, sorry to hear about your misfortune.

Good luck in your search.

I know a lot of guys hanging out at the 7-11 in pville who can point you in the right direction for temporary work.

Thanks Scott - no misfortune, though. I was dancing in the kitchen when I checked my email the night before and got the news. Long time coming.

I'd go down to the 7-11 but I've got programmer hands and pillsbury doughboy arms.I wouldn't last 15 minutes with those guys.

Good luck. If you get it see if you can improve quality and reliability. J/K

that stinks. I got laid off from AOl back in '01, after leaving a small company for "big company stability". Yeesh.

Ed - Best of luck to you, don't know what type of work you do but if you're a programmer we are hiring. Let me know if you or anyone else you know may have interest.

Thanks Jay - I don't program much anymore, have been doing product marketing and technical management. My profile is at www.devinney.com . Any leads are appreciated, either for me or the other folks who are spending more time with their families: send your openings to me at ejd@devinney.com & I'll pass them along to the AOL alumni list.
