Hey, why don't we all come over to Betty's with rattle cans of paint and try to beautify her teener. A Dorki public service activity...what d'ya say?

You should have seen the grin on Gary's face when he borrowed my angle grinder to 'beautify' Betty's teener.

Jim, excellent idea! It would be the perfect Mother's Day present. Maybe we should all plan to show up on Sunday with one can of spray paint each. Everyone should show up with their own favorite color, no fair comparing notes, no experience needed.
I almost feel sorry for Gary, "the fact that Gary gets to drive the new, expensive, pretty RGT and "makes" me drive the ugly 914."
Pretty obvious that the woman didn't know Betty! :)

The mental picture I get when I think of all you guys showing up with various colors of spray paint it more than I can handle. It's nice to know the Dorkis look out for each other so well! You guys truly are

While I appreciate all the helpful concern about the paint job on the teener, rest assured that it will be painted shortly. Should be finishing up the bodywork this weekend and then off to Maaco for a "racing" paint job. You know the kind...50 feet at 50 mph.

Gary wants to put a sign on the side that says "Her OTHER car is a '97 C4 Cabriolet" thinking then maybe then people won't feel so sorry for me. Course his other car is a '95 M3 so perhaps he shouldn't get off so easy.

Hmmmm, Maaco paint job...doesn't that require an engine drop?

I heard teeners were slow...but only 50 mph at track speed? :P

Does Gary's M3 have plates that say "Carerra"? I saw a red M3 on Friday in old town with those plates. PCA sticker in the window and all.

That was Gary. Our offices are on King Street. He had that plate on his C4S and when he sold the car couldn't bear to give up the plate. He gets some strange looks especially from BMW folks. What's cute is the front plate. It was lost a year ago so he put his Targa Newfoundland plate on so as not to attract attention. It says 914. I like it!

The 50mph is for pit row. They have speed limits ya know. :P
