Great work.
Did I mention that those struts almost look too nice to put on a car...
Naw!

Update 5.July.2007

Brevity is the word of the day because I'm swamped.

Things that are going right:

1. Engine is in the car, everything reattached (wiring/fuel/shifter/axles).

2. Complete rear suspension is in.

3. Front suspension is in (a arms, struts, hubs w/ new bearings, sway bars), along with the brakes.

Huge thanks to Charlie and Kirk (KFJ) for their help. Charlie was over 3 days for at least 8 hours a day helping with pretty much everything on the car over the past week. KFJ was over last Tuesday and helped with the engine reinstall and all the BS I needed help with the get it back in the car. I wouldn't be as close as I am to being done without those two.

Also thanks to Bill Miller who's press came in very handy and showed me some of his alignment tricks. Good stuff, it's nice to have someone figure this stuff out in advance.

Things going not-so-well:

1. Steering rack is making odd noise when move back and forth. I suspect binding somewhere. Going to investigate tonight.

2. Still need to install gas tank.

3. Lost the simple U shaped bracket that goes between the rubber brake line and the hard caliper line on the driver's side. Tore the garage apart looking for it. No joy. Found some steel stock in the basement that was the same width/thickness and made a new one.

4. Muffler at a bad angle when engine reinstalled - sitting too high and won't clear the bumper when bumper is reinstalled.

......and only broke a bearing packer. Pretty impressive IMHO!

It's actually a new record. Zero things on the car and only one tool.

Isn't it ironic when the Wahoo tries to put you down and fucks up his grammar in the process :)
