"D" cars are consistently equal to or faster than "E" cars.

In my first three events, I have been faster and finished higher than the slowest E cars. Dwayne Moses typically beats most if not all of the E cars.

For some it doesn't take any - all you need is a magazine interview.

But seriously, the suction cup is a very substantial one. Its the one that's used by the GoPro camera. A lever locks it down VERY securely to any smooth surface; once locked down, virtually impossible to remove by simply pulling. I know that camera mounts must be "secure", but are there any other more specific guidelines?

yes secondary strap is required. A suction cup will fail in a impact event.

Some one lined up in front of me with a suction cup mounted camera in the middle of the pass side door with no secondary retainer. Got past the pit out crew. If it had an armband on it wouldhave been noticed.

Got it. I can do a secondary strap.

Thanks!

http://vimeo.com/14789968 Unlike the speedy boy's hot laps here is a video that is ripe for comment. Need to work on threshold braking at the end of the front straight, line and power app in nascar, exit from 5a, more power and straighter line in the esses, less brake in south bend, tighten up the line coming up on oak tree, less and later braking in hog-pen and open up the exit. Watching the video I see I am still droving the 912 up the esse. the 912 was flat out for real and even flat out I could still just connect the dots up the hill and back down the other side. The gear box gets hot and stiff and needs to be shifted gently after 6 laps or so. You can hear a good gear crunch at the top of the hill. The trans get hot after 8 or so laps and gets tight and hard to shift (can hear a happy drover at the end too. Looked down and saw I dropped a second off a lap that I though was sucking which I was, just less than I thought. If I grow a set I bet the car is easily sub 2:05 as is and more if it were well tweaked and or well driven.

Got in some good wing angle tinker time and I think the car will be a bit faster at Summit for it. There is a laundry list of aero work, trans work a little more susp work and I plan to push it a bit harder next season.
