The 911 is certainly more popular and outlasted the 928, so there is no debate there.

I don't think there's really a fight, to be honest. Most everyone I know with 911s likes or even loves these cars. The only comment is that they're more complex cars and there were less of them made. The result is a smaller DIY community, making large projects a bit more difficult. This shouldn't be seen as a put down of the 928, but simply a fact. Hell - I can find many more people in the area that DIY on Camaros than on 911s. And parts are cheaper too. Doesn't make the Camaro a better car.
