I've tried the hairspray thing and it does help but not eliminate slippage for me. Wirebrushing/cleaning/scuffing all part of the process. Myers Tire Supply sells this stuff called Slip-Tac which is supposed to help as well. I have to use something as a lube while mounting the tires on my machine. If I don't, sometimes the rubber binds and can chunk/tear the inside of the bead where it seals. I have often thought of just balancing the wheel without the tire, mount the tires, rebalance and anything less than an ounce or two just not worry about it since sometimes the tires will be 180 degrees off the original mount position by the time they wear out. I guess the problem lies from the CCW wheels being so smooth on the bead surface. Weird though, even with the tires rotating I have never had any bad vibrations from a tire moving around on the rim.
