Not me! I married the 2nd. time for love & have never looked back! She may not be new, but still has the “elegant curves” I desire! Kurt’s right, get them involved early, keep em involved. Linda did DEs for a year before I even went on the track. We did Auto Cross, Rallys & we have worked club events for years together. She has her own Porsche street car & her own Porsche track car. Besides, just ask, your SO might want time away from you too

I hope this marriage thing isnt contagious. :)

Chris,

You've got nothing to worry about.

Didn't mean it that way...

What I meant is most guys get married, then sell the Porsche. You're selling 'em even without female persuasion!!!

How's the track car search coming? Me, I'm dreaming of making my 911 the DD, and adding a track car and trailer. Unfortunately, the Mrs. hasn't yet had the same dream. She has been asking about the HPDC, so it's just a matter of time.

I actually bought my last one after I was married. Now the little gremlin coming along might hinder another purchase but Hollywood's appearances at the track have been giving me strength.

RL: get married on a beautiful beach (I did) and save yourself / family another HUGE expense / hassle. I won't even go into the benefits of walking away from the hysterics of the pre-wedding BS and cooling your feet in the warm ocean water while drinking a red stripe....

Jase

After I announced (read: asked permission ;) ) that I was going to do HPDC, and how it would make me a better driver, my wife asks "can I do it with the BMW?" - It's not even built yet!! It's nice to have support going in!

Wow, she's a keeper! Any sisters? :)

My buddy that just bought my Carrera is the same guy that sold his SC within months of being married. Seemed it didnt "make sense" then. But now with a house and kid... who knows.

Car search, argh, I cant make up my mind. I want a 951, but dont want to pay for one. I found a truck I might look at saturday, you might see me next in a turbo, a cummins turbo.

 Just remember . . CA is a community property state . . . another words . . . . what's hers is hers and what's yours is hers.

David, I did the practice marriage and hit the jack pot the 2nd time around as well.

Richard, You might want to save your $ and drive what you got. It is a good car right out of the box. Spend it on keeping SO happy and driving!

"you are headed down a good and well traveled road." Hey Lucky, you know something about RLs SO that we don't? (Sorry Richard, just kidding)

I just made my last pre-martial big purchase - 996 Carrera 5-spoke 18" wheels and tires. From now on things may have to go through the appropriations committee. How am I gonna explain the dire need for a light-weight flywheel and RS clutch kit?
