Yep. Totally understand. Just a suggestion. :-)

hello all

i was told at tech inspection that my rear pads would not last more than a day

front pads are ok

i picked up some new pads, but i would need some help / tools / instruction on changing them out at the end of the day on friday

that is if someone could help

if not, i can have someone put them on before i go

any offers?

thanks

otto burgess

Otto, I do not see where you offer beer...

Don't sweat getting them replaced before you go; you can get a volunteer or two to teach you how to do it on Friday afternoon.

Vicegrip 04-29-2014 02:18 PM

I recomend you put them on and drive them some to seat them before going to the track. One less thing to do and think about.

what kind of car?

Edit, as said there are always some helpful folks around.

Otto has a Chickster

Vicegrip 04-29-2014 02:44 PM

Boxster rears are easy. 20 min and done and that includes the 1st beer after. Would still do them here and take it off the "do list".

Otto, I'll help you do it track side, it's not hard. I drive a red 993 number 33, drop by and say hi.

Yes and beer would help :-) We'll be happy to tell you what to do as we sit back and drink!

Agree but it would be good for Otto to start to learn how to do these things himself so this may be the perfect timing for some training. I'd also be happy to help out.

Also willing to help. Maybe we can get 50 cooks stirring the soup on this one. ;)

To be sure, I had no intention of changing them myself. Tools, a jack, flat spot to work and semi helpful tips are free but that is about it.

As Art used to say whenever he spotted my legs sticking out from under some car at the track "I like manual labor, I could watch it for hours"

First track repair tip. Work first-Beer after Beer first = work in the am.
