The 912 will stay a 912. Track seat will come out when it is time to switch over. The tub from Dave will get the rust cut out and patched then a cage welded in with all parts and material not needed removed. Bare metal build out. If I have to keep it in the car it gets drilled. Full cage but the rest of tube frame built using small dia tubing. Going to take a lot of time on this one and "add lightening" wherever posable. Plastic or F glass where ever posable, little brake lights, no dash, no stock elec. wiring, no nothing unless it is really needed.

The shop I use is not the best, the mechanic is a grouch at times but he is cheap.

Awesome news, Kurt.

Hats off to Eli!!

Let me know if you need a hand with prepping the body. I'd like to learn by getting the hands dirty.

Congrats on the beginning of a great project. If you want any help with the electrical, let me know. I like to dust off my EE degree from time to time.

If yer willing to show a few of us the MIG ropes, please send a PM when the fun begins. I've got a MIG itch that I just can't get rid of...need to learn how to use more tools!

The title of this topic includes the words "Sunday 12/18".

I dunno, but my calendar says Sunday is Dec 19.

Just wondering...

Its Sunday the 19th. Corrections made.

Never been good with a calendar....or a clock for that matter.

Now that I realize it's actually Sunday and I have an afternoon committment, what time will you all be there? Had I known it was Sunday I would have watched a little closer when you were insstalling RL's!
