Ok it's time....
To start listing all the lame excuses why youz guyz can’t make the Tech Inspection tomorrow!
If need you can refer to the...” “Registered! Make all travel plans... then...” thread for some ideas. I particularly like the one; "I had forgotten to ask my wife if I was free this weekend” http://dorkiphus.net/porsche/showthread.php?t=34830 |
x2. Come on out to Autobahn in Fairfax tomorrow. We guarantee your car IQ will go up at least 10 points!
(which is needed, as we'll lower your real IQ at least 20 :-) ) |
Will be there towards 12:30-1.

Tech August 1 (Saturday) Porsche of Silver Spring
Not much chatter about this. But's been a great event in the past and surely will be this year too!
August 1 (Saturday) Porsche of Silver Spring. 341 Automobile Blvd., Slver Spring, MD 20904 |
Thanks TR and all the tech inspectors who helped out today. I was a little worried about not haven enough inspectors but we had the opposite problem. Not many cars! What, is everyone away for the weekend? We have 160+ drivers registered for the DE next weekend so I thought we'd have a plethora of cars.
We'll, for those who didn't show you missed a great event. Porsche of Silver Spring were great hosts as always. Mr. Omelet provided a great breakfast and they also provided us a nice lunch buffet. See you all next weekend |
Thanks to PoSS and the tech crew this morning. Oh yeah, and to Mr. Omelet as well. I'm always happy to have "second breakfast!

We'll be at IMA Motorwerke on Saturday, August 22.
Although the Frednecksburg PCAP DE has been cancelled, we will provide inspection for participants in FSR's VIR event that takes place in early September. It's also a good opportunity to get your car checked to see how it's been withstanding the stresses of the track season so far this year; so if you have any issues from PorscheFest they can be identifed with plenty of time to spare before your next DE. We'll also be able to accomodate some light DIY work like brake bleeding/ pad changes, adjusting front wheel bearings, etc. (i.e., work that should not tie up a lift for more then 30 minutes or so). Also a good thing for participants in the September HPDC to have their cars looked at in case there are things like torn CV boots, loose bearings, etc. they should address. This is also a good opportunity to have your car looked at even if you do not participate in track events. Our Chippendale calendar-worthy tech inspector staff will gladly walk you through the finer points or your car's suspension, braking and safety systems. And some, like Trak Ratt, may even be willing to don a thong if that helps you absorb the information better. At PCAP we are known for going that extra mile! Hours are 9 am - 2 pm, with 1:30 pm cut-off for arrivals. Ivan Arzola and his crew will be providing breakfast and lunch, and there are always some very cool race cars to ogle. |
Glad this is still on. Will swing by before I head out to NJMP.
