Hell Ryan, you may pick up a mile-an-hour or so on the straight by getting rid of the wing. May as well try and be as slippery as possible.

Also weight loss for 993's -- that's good to hear. Had a good conversation with Walt back in Aug re: proposed rule changes for a few of the classes. Hope it helped.

I'm the one who actually proposed the weight increase vs moving to I to them. Glad they listened!

Understood and makes sense if you have a locked up ABS. But that would seem to be different problem than ice mode. Reboot and you still have ice mode with stock unit.

I've done it. More surprised they stated PASM which hints that the decision here didn't come with a lot of forethought. :bang: And most yaw disconnects seem to be grounded, one wire, rather than pulling the unit.

Did PCA send this out in an email? I never got it but I recently changed my email with PCA but not sure if the club racing side of PCA pulled it over.

Although my racecar is a much simpler 3 channel abs, I installed a larger roll cage mounted warning light and reset switch after experiencing a couple of abs failures and the resulting spins that followed due to the severe imbalance of the brake system. What happens with my old heap for example is that hitting the rumbles coming out of T10 can cause a wheel speed variation or a flex of the spindle which will cause the sensor not to transmit pulses properly and the computer just doesn't know what to do. It shuts down and turns the small light on in the dash. Hard to see that little bugger going down the front straight and as soon as I hit the brakes around it will come. Now I can see the warning light coming out of the turn, push the momentary reset switch which cuts power to the system, and back in business in 2 seconds. This is effectively the same as shutting the car off and allowing the system to reset. If I push the reset and the light stays on, I have a component failure and know to take it easy in T1 and come in.

Why are you suddenly hating on D, E? No reason to throw us under the bus. Freshen up your motor and you'll be fine.

Oh man I HATE D cars!!!!

Not really. I'm just pointing out the arbitrary nature of the "if you could order it" schtick. It has a lot of holes and if I spent the money to acquire, paint and install a new deck lid with a taco wing I'd be really pissed. Particularly having to rebuild the stock wing I took off and probably do not have anymore.

Not really surprised though. Getting sort of used to PCA's rules process.

Can you install a 1 second delay on a momentary relay and have the light reset the system?

I was hoping it would stand, just not sure what crazy PCA rules were about this. And...I was told you were setting track records at every track you drove. Sorry if this was misinformation, but I must say you are damn fast in that car and a pleasure to watch. On that note: at SP CR in 2013, when I blew my engine, I got to watch most of the races rather than be driving or preparing all day. It was really, really fun, and a few of the Dorkis were especially fun to watch, on that day especially including David Dean who had exciting challenges.

Interesting idea.....I like the idea of automatic reset but would have to install a toggle switch to disable the relay in the event of a permanent failure so the thing would not be continually trying to reset until you would get off track. I guess my human relay works ok. Doesn't happen that often, maybe once or twice a year. The in the field of view yellow indicator light was the biggest help in knowing there was an issue so braking can be less aggressive and managed.
