Charlie, I can make it. When do the festivities begin?

Tony, 3-day Zone 2 DE at VIR in April. 4-days if you're an instructor ...

Streaming web broadcast? Lord, now we will have to worry about what we are wearing

BTW, my lawyer wants to see the release forms before we do anything

Charlie Stylianos 02-04-2003 10:14 PM

I'm actually playing with the software at the moment....I'm streaming live video/audio from a workstation to a webserver at home....kinda neat. Wish I had the time to make it an interactive type session, but have other things to do before now and the 15th

Stay tuned for Dorkiphus TV. I'll probably have the setup in the garage next week while I'm prepping the car. I'll post the URL for those interested...feedback would be nice.

So what's the plan for Saturday Charlie? Are you still doing the drop and if so, what time do the festivities get started?

Sorry for bringing this up so soon in the week but some of us married folk with children need to start planning this far in advance :D

Charlie Stylianos 02-11-2003 12:54 AM

Doug and others, sorry for the delay......Richard and Marc were wondering the same.

We finished the majority of the insulation over the weekend so the drop is still on......just don't poke fun at our attempt to effectively insulate a garage

In keeping with tradition, the festivities will start around 10:00ish and I don't plan for it to take all day (cross fingers). I'll be doing the majority of the prep work (oil/fuel/AC lines, ground strap, CV's, etc) this week so hopefully all that will need to be done on sat. is just to physically drop the engine, separate the tranny and lift the engine onto the stand. A walk in the park for you guys....right

I'll post directions and a map later this week.

Looks like I can make the party Charlie. Recruiting trip is Friday. Looking forward to driving the 911 down to Hampden-Sydney and back on the 14th. I'll see you on the 15th and will bring my sledgehammer and logsplitter in case the engine gets stuck. Might be a little late if we get back real late Fri night. Can't wait to see a brown 911.

Hi Charlie, right now I'm 50/50 for Saturday. Maybe my better 50% will show up.

DavidPorter 02-11-2003 05:07 PM

I'll be in Falls Church for a while in the morning. I'll try to come by on my way out.

Charlie Stylianos 02-11-2003 09:11 PM

Wow guys, this is shaping up to be a big shin-dig. I hope I can be as gracious a host as Mark.

Dan....log splitter!?....I think you have it in for the brown 911. You are definitely welcome, but the sledge and log splitter will have to stay outside.

I cant tell you guys how much I appreciate this...thank you

Charlie, Save the thanks until they've drunk up all your beer, the weekend is shot, and your engine is still on the ground.

Just kidding. I'm sorry I'm going to miss all the fun. I hope it goes smoothly, but if it doesn't, maybe I can join you guys for the extra innings.

Meantime, I'm hoping the weather forecast for this weekend improves.
