Oh boy(oh). Now look what I started. Thanks for all the advice everyone. This sport wouldn't be anywhere near as fun without you guys to get advice from and banter with

Are you removing weight from the drover too? The nut behind the wheel is a great potential place for weight savings.

Yes. That's the winter plan. Actually I'm hoping to transfer it into my balls. That's where I need the enlargement for racing  Actually my plan is to bulk up for the first Karting weight-in next year then shed the weight.

If you want to keep it pretty stock then it fits right into H class and you can play with Ryan. If you want to flash it and add aero you would go to I class or could run GTB and come play with me :)
Just be sure you don't do something that would really bump you out of a class that Cayman's are competitive in. Read the rules carefully and feel PM me if you need any detailed info.

Thanks Scott and yes. I'd like to prep it for H.

wow, that's it? i guess it's the steel/safety bracing, etc that makes them so heavy. cuz darn if they dont feel much heavier when opening or closing, ya know?

Yea. The steel frame, windows and window motor I'm sure are 15+ additional lbs/door. I'm keeping the windows (for now).

No. Manual, 2007 (pre PDK). I'd rather have fun with my feet anyway!

One suggestion. If you have the car ready, go ahead and take a competition license school as soon as feasible and get your ticket.

I plan on doing that towards the end of this year or early next. Maybe hobiecat (Jim B) can join me. I know he's interested in transitioning to racing. He's was one of the best in the karting league (even if he was at weight disadvantaged).

I just think John's well past the ready-to-race point with skills, etc. In other words, John doesn't need more DEs to prepare for racing.

Thanks Greg :)
