Hooyah!

Good on her and good for you to be proud!

Well they finally picked a date, she ships out on Oct 6th. I think she is homesick already. Of the 50 or so calls I get a day, she is responsible for at least 20 of them. I like the weekends and so does my phone.

May I give some advice from a person who has been there and my spouse as well.

There is not enough communication. Phone calls, e-mails, etc. Get family and friends involved as well. It's all good.

X2 letters from home may make you miss home but keeps you connected to home and your roots.

No Phones allowed, No Internet during basic, looks like I am gonna be keeping the USPS afloat for the next couple of months.

I think she will be fine. She was just trying out her grandfathers AR15, ya know just for size.
