this is very true.... I will end up spending the money, but none of the other car forums I'm on are like this about selling stuff..... i guess this is the p-car world ;)

It is only reasonable to pay the $17.

Rennlist is also more to this coast than PP is and you might be able to sell face to face and skip the hassel of shipping and getting your $. all the sites have pros and cons Porsche centric or not.

Its NOT the money from the forum goers that keeps a forum alive, its the fact that there ARE people that are on the forums. The more people the more the forum will stay around and profit. All in all, you can support a forum like rennlist really really well for 200-500 a month.

I dont know, maybe i need to change my outlook on the internet.

At one point (and perhaps in the future) the moderators of this forum asked for donations because it keeps the board running. No matter how many people keep the "forum" alive, money keeps the bandwith alive.

I'm an internet hippie too, but I pony up for the boards I use a lot (cash or purchases). Now I find Rennlist has member to member ads....hmmm.

Members give other members first (or only) dibs on parts. Clubhouse/Country Club/Old Boy Network concept. You are either a member or you are not.

you know, for $17 you could hit a not-so-hip but also not a dive type of a bar and have two sapphire-tonics. while hiding from this heat and enjoying your refreshing cocktails, you could come up w/ a brilliant idea of having your friends, who are local AND rennlist members to look/advertise/sell/find stuff on rennlist for you  ;)
