Wow, that's a very sobering picture and story ... looks like he really dodged a bullet there.
Glad to hear he's OK but I also hope you and the Mrs. are doing OK yourselves. As a father of 2 I can't even imagine getting that type of call. |
Ditto to what the fellas have said so far. Just glad to hear he walked away without major injuries.
Wishing him a speedy recovery! |
WOW. This is one of my nightmares, and I have another 11 years to think about it. Perhaps a form of Hades?
I am stunned that he wasn't wearing a seatbelt and still walked away. This must be some statement regarding the passive safety of modern cars and trucks. The truck gave its life to save your son's. I know there used to be a clause with USAA insurance that if the driver wasn't wearing a seatbelt they may not cover damage/liability. Hope that isn't the case with your firm! |
The fear never goes away, and it is fear! Our oldest turns 30 this year, youngest 25. We worry all the time about something happening to any of them… not pathological but parents understand or will eventually
The only thing harder than holding my 4 year old son while the doctor stitched up his head after a fall was 20 years later waiting to find out his brain tumor had been successfully treated with drugs. The older I get the more I appreciate what my parents must have gone through I’ve stopped telling my mother when I go to the track, and she has stopped asking  |
