Awesome write-up Jase. Wish I could have been there, but with all my out of town trips and going to the track May and June, I thought staying at home and avoiding a divorce was a prudent idea :). Hope to be there next year!

Thanks Doug and Chris.

We'll have spots for you next year. Who knows ... perhaps some other dorkis will be racing vintage / historic cars by then and we can form a dorki ghetto

I didn't have time to take pics but on Sunday, about a gazillion ferraris, maseratis, lambos, etc... showed up for a track touring lunch exhibit. The crowds seemed to like them.

Thanks for the writup, Jase. Jim mentioned it was much fun, hopefully next year I can come out and watch/support.

Steve Fox: fellow 356 racer found these pics on the Internet site Vintageautosports.com. and recently sent to me.

1st picture - he is right behind me when the picture was taken. Nice site.

Great photos Jase. It is amazing how small your 911 looks in comparison to the 356 in the photo!

Jase007 09-16-2005 03:55 PM

No kidding. Those minis make the 911 look like a gnome and that 356 looks like it is about to run me over.

Steve is fast in his 356. I typically turn 1:28s in the '66 and he was turning 1:32s in his 356. With my old motor I was turning 1:34s in my 356 and with the new one I'm hoping to pick up a couple of seconds. We'll see how it goes at the upcoming SP Club Race / enduro.

The photographer for vintageautosports.com is excellent. He has the Jeff500 '04, '03 and '02 on there as well as RRI from 2001.

Here is a montage from '04 Jeff500 w/ my 356 half way down and Jim [father] in a formerly owned by J Scott Racing '68 LWB 2.0L pictured right above the 356.
