I can bring my copy of LeMans if you don't have it already.

oooooooooh now there is a good idea!

I can already see everyone staring bug-eyed at the front end shots of the 917 going down Mulsanne....

I should be there to help others install the bushings, that is if I don't end up in Philly this weekend.
Hmmm, now where's my copy of Le Mans........

Yeah, its a great movie, esp for a gathering like this. None of that useless stuff like "plot" or "dialog" to get in the way of a great racing movie. This movie drives my wife crazy... I love it :D.

Looks like the shop is going to be full of motors this weekend. The Eric D "Done blowed up" 3L, Bill Js "Done blowed up" 2.4 getting torn down for parts and....Drum roll please....

My very own 2.7L :D Yes that’s right folks 912 boy has a 6 pot sitting in the shop and it is all due to Eli. “Siberian” (Cue the standing ovation, long version)

In short. Eli, knowing I was looking for a cheap 6 cyl core to rebuild and stuff into a future track 911 I plan to build hooked up a deal on a recently gone through 2.7. He sent me a PM asking me if I was interested in it and quoted an obscenely low price. (Don’t even ask) I had to think about it for somewhat less that .00003 nanosecond. Last night he is at the shop door with it in the back of his truck having shipped it from CA and picked it up at the shipper.

The skinny on the motor. Plug and play. Not a rebuildable core but a complete power plant. A running long block fan to flywheel. Case savers, studs, updated fan and hydrloic lifters within the last 5K miles. Eli drove around in the car it was in before the owner pulled it out and boxed it up. Looks good from the outside just a little clean up if anything. I will scrounge up a clutch and get it on the motor stand asap.

Horse Power, what an interesting concept…:D

Eli will never buy a drink or a dinner if I am around. Hats of to Eli! A true Dorki!

Add to this Dave R donating his lateest freebie tub when he is done picking it over and I am looking at most of a track car. Just add plasma and MiG

Yeah! that is why this board is so great. Congrats to Kurt and his new powerplant.

If you need to get rid of a motor to make room for the new one I am looking for a rebuildable 3.0 for my ST. yes, a 3.2SS in the works.

So... Can you disclose any more details of your track tub plans? ARe you siphoning from the Mean Greenie or starting fresh?

Kurt with a 6 cyl? With all that power connected to the loud pedal, we'll have to start calling him the spin-meister.
