Karting!

I'm in - I hope they bring lots of weights! Either that, or my team will get about an hour head start...

Jazzbass 12-09-2004 09:26 PM

BTW, Pari's on my team, too. Anything he drives instanty gains 10-20hp, and in these small karts, that's all the edge we'll need  .

You may not win the race but the smack down is a slam dunk :!:

That's what I'm hoping for, really. I'd like to get Jim, Pari, Ted and myself on one team for this. Call ourselves Team Smackdown. We may not be the fastest, but you wouldn't know it by listening to us talk.

Remember to send your checks in ASAP. This event sold out last year. Since it's not a PCA event, just a few of us crazies, we have to break even.

I'm going to get the Chesapeake Region webmaster to print a list of the people signed up. Delaware is sending two teams and Chesapeake already has four. We had a great time last year. It's a good exercise while we wait for the driving season to begin (which for me is Sebring in February).

Chris, I'm in for Team Smackdown.
We need to look out for Kurt, He's used to driving toy cars on the track.

I was worried about that. Those karts are 6-9hp. Do you think he can deal with the power increase? I'd hate to see him get hurt and all.

Chronos 12-09-2004 11:51 PM

Dayam this sounds like fun. Do any of us 996 guys have the skills to drive well enough to exploit that full 9hp???

If I shave my arms and wear my workout gear I should be able to reduce my total coefficient of drag by at least 10%. Not a pretty picture, I know, but this is the level of my commitment to winning! :o

Muhahaha, finally you admit defeat :D !!! I knew you would give in eventually, after all not too much testosterone is associated with purple :P .
See Jim, it wasn't that hard to admiit the truth that you get smoked by the brown SC's at the track all the time.
Wow, you were able to even place 27th  .

I'm in for some Karting, but Jim will have to show me how to drive such a low HP vehicle since he's used to driving it with Dino..

I am now scared for life! I just imagined Chronos wearing spandex racing a go kart. :?
