I'll try to make it. The weekend dorki stuff is getting difficult for me to make as I'm away most weekends now. Let's try to avoid rush hour and that Cabin John bridge/270 jam.

I'm in - any excuse to drink some beers, and not have to drive to NoVA to do it too! Place-wise, what are you guys thinking?

Some options would be:

- Rio Grande in Washingtonian (G'burg)
- Buffallo Billiards in Olde Towne G'burg

We cold also do something like D&Bs at White Flint in Rockville - not as far north up 270, pretty easy drive from G'burg. Added bonus of not having to listen to the NoVa b!tch and moan (as much) about the drive into MD!

That's awsome Chris. Can't wait to meet you in person. Sounds like it's an event that's not to be missed

Chris M., lets try to stick to Rio, there are a number of restaurants/bars there. Rio Grande works, there's also Joe's Crab shack, Macaroni Grill, Terra Thai, Hamburger Hamlet, and a couple others at the Washingtonian.

best to just chose a location closest to the guest.

the Nova's/Md's/DCer's can have a shoot out later.

Lets do Rio Grande then, unless someone has a strong aversion to Mexican. Mmmm.... Dos Equis...

Mr. Streit - how does that sound to you?

That's fine with me. VaSteve, Steelspine and others out our way--it wiil probably be easier to go the "back" way, 15 through Leesburg if you're going from home.

Sounds great.

I'm flying in arriving about 5:30 on the 15th and in the Marriott right next to the Rio Grande. I can meet you guys any time after about 6:30 depending on traffic, etc...

So what time should I stagger over to the RioGrande?

Man I hope they have their Ceviche' (sp?). It's darn good there....

Chris

Chris S., anytime works for me. I get off work at 3:00pm.
6:30 or 7:00pm should be good for the NoVA folks because traffic on I270 N usually dies down by then. Give me a ring when you are about to leave your hotel for the Rio Grande. With my super HP, I should be there in the time it takes you to walk from the Marriott to the Rio Grande  .

cstreit 12-13-2004 04:43 PM

Turns out my flight gets in at 5:45... So probably about an hour to get the rental car and drive up... Why don't we shoot for 7:00-7:30.

Pari,

You can e-mail me your number at cstreit at manu.com and I'll ring you when I leave...
