Ok, looks like this is all premature. I just picked the wheels up and they look great, have Michelin Pilot Sports and they will definitely make it through this DE, if not more. I got the whole shebang for $375. I'm very pleased. RA-1's will come when the Pilot Sports are toasted.

$375 is a VERY NICE price ... congrats.

Vu, they're 996 twists, moderate curb rash on three of them, none on one, plenty of meat left on the rubber and they're in two boxes in my storage space in Kingstowne. You're gonna haffta wait until the DE to see them up close. I haven't felt this good about a deal in quite a while. Totally clear conscience. Oh, and Pirelli is reimbursing me for the 285 tire that got a bubble in it, so I'll stick with the Pzeros a while longer for my street rubber. When they're toasted, I'm going with AVS Sports.

I can picture this poor woman hearing this cockamamie story of riding the metro with a wheel to take it to the tire store for a new tire and he's going to make this trip 4 times.
If he can get her phone number she's goofier than he is.
