Another vote for Billy at Performance Auto Works.

I followed y’all’s advice and took my head to Billy, and man, I gotta say, he’s great! He took the time to look it over with me that day and pulled vacuum on each valve port (all held vacuum). He then said he’d get it rebuilt in 3-5 weeks and got it done in 2. I am hoping to pick it up later this week - sounds like no smoking gun for the oil in the combustion chamber, but he did replace all the valve seals and work the guides. All this for what I consider to be a very fair price.

10/10 recommend so far - we’ll see how it looks when I pick it up!

Billy was fantastic to work with! Got my reworked head back yesterday and he took the time to answer a handful of questions I had as well. Very good guy and knowledgeable.

It’ll be after the new year before I’ll have time to reassemble and start it all up. Will post back here once I do! Thanks again for the rec, everyone!
