I'm glad you got it all done. It looks like it was long after dark! I'll have to see it in person. I smelled like burning rubber the whole way home!!
Here are some more photos: http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/vet...he&.view=t It was good meeting you guys! 8) Steve |
Glad to see you were able to get the 87 turbolook to your desired ride height. I need to lower my 911 within the next few weeks, I can't wait to make use of a torch to burn rubber . You got some nice toys over there Vu, thanks for your hospitality. It was nice meeting you Steve (nice looking SC), and the Lotus crew. Charlie, I hope you guys found time to get that stereo in the civic. I installed my CD player yesterday, it was easier than I expected, took me ten minutes. The drive up to philly was fun, although it would have been smoother if my SC was lowered and aligned properly.

Charlie, great job on lowering Vu's car. I may also need your expertise on lowering my 930. I'm sure you're burnt out on this but I can do all the work and I have tools to do the job. I need your direction and expertise on accomplishing my goal. I'm not exactly sure what the procedures are. I also saw some pics of you using some kind of angle tool which I do not have.
Any help from you and/or fellow dorki's will be appreciated. |
Once we get through the holidays, I'd be willing to lend a helping hand. With a few experienced guns at work, we should be able to knock out a lowering job within a few hours.
Keep in mind everything depends on how well the bolts cooperate with us. Right Charlie? Starting to sound like a "Lowering Day" Just gotta find a warm roomy place to work :) |
Lowering Day for sure! I bet there are about 4-5 of us who would like to knock this project out. We could have the masters rotate around the cars giving pointers and directions while the first-timers did the wrenching.
Whadda say folks? |
Vu, definitely after the holidays. I saw the pics and I like your new stance. It came out perfect. I was thinking of attemplting this project myself based on the pictures you have. but did not want to get stuck on something I was not sure about. Since you guys are the experts, I would need everyones knowledge on this.
I'll make sure I have the MAPP torch ready. I also have air tools if needed. I can supply a warm garage with all the goodies. Vu, I also noticed new neatrix bushings. Where did you get them? What else would I need to purchase for this project. I will touch base with everyone after the holidays. Happy Holidays :D |
